Concrete Block Fill Calculator

Find how much grout or concrete it takes to fill the cores of a concrete block (CMU) wall. Enter the wall size or block count, pick the block width and fill pattern, add bond beams and waste, and get the cubic yards, bags of core-fill mix, grouted cells and rebar — with by-pattern and ways-to-buy tables and a downloadable PDF.

US units (feet, inches, cubic yards, USD). Based on standard 2-core hollow block, 16 × 8 in nominal (1.125 blocks per sq ft). Solid-grout volumes per square foot of wall: 6 in ≈ 0.17, 8 in ≈ 0.26, 10 in ≈ 0.34, 12 in ≈ 0.42 cu ft. Partial grouting fills only the cells at the chosen spacing. Actual fill varies with the block's core shape and grout loss into joints. Estimate only — follow your engineer's or code's grouting and rebar requirements.
